I/E&A Christians

 Beliefs

We believe that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Saviour. That he died for our sins and the only way to the father is through him.

Personal Beliefs

I lean towards Assembly of God but could go full blown Pentecostal easily. There are so many powerful verses we can put in here, and we will add to this a lot. Here are some of my top ones.

FYI by definition---A Christian is someone who understands that everyone sins, that God is perfect, and that only Jesus can reconcile us to God. Jesus, is God and the Son of God. God sent Him to earth to die for the sins of the world (John 3:16). Because Jesus is sinless, God accepted His sacrifice and raised Him from the dead. That sacrifice is the only thing that can reconcile us to God. Nothing we can do will ever earn us salvation.

I've heard people say that Christian means Little Christs, which was a derogatory term from the Romans. I'm still researching on it. I do know what a Roman Candle is, do you? I'm not talking about fireworks.

Give all the glory to God.      A lot of people want to take credit for their achievemnets. We shouldn't.

Romans 11:36

For everything comes from him and exists by his power and is intended for his glory. All glory to him forever! Amen.

Ephesians 6:12

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

Matthew 6:25-34

25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life[a]?

28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

This passage resonates with me and I have personally seen that when I am moving forward and making strides for the better that things seem to come out of the woodwork to knock me back. When the devil has you where he wants you, it's like he will let you coast through life. Each day ticking away with you not having that relationship with God that you need. So each day he is winning and will let you have success here on earth, which is a distraction in itself.

Most people are oblivious to this and some even have beliefs that, "well I'm a good person." So I'm OK, I dont need to do anything more? Wrong. The Lord wants a relationship with you and wants you to be in heaven with him when the time comes. That takes you reaching out to he/she almighty. Our brains cannot fathom the Lord.

I personally ran from the Lord and didn't want to change any of my ways. Then when I did want to have that relationship with my Lord, I was scared and embarassed. Have you ever been to church and seen someone go up for an alter call at the end of church and you see them crying like someone just killed their dog. That, I'm so sorry Lord cry and thank you for all you did, I dont deserve this, I dont deserve you. Just guts getting ripped out cry. The Lord knew everything I did, you can't hide anything from the creator of the universe.

Then after you have repented and he will forgive you. Move forward, it isn't easy. Especially because at that moment the evil will have your name on their list and will throw everything  including the kitchen sink at you.

I am not a preacher, Just a christian that wants to learn more from other Christians.

                                            Mark 2:13-17

Jesus Calls Levi and Eats With Sinners
13 Once again Jesus went out beside the lake. A large crowd came to him, and he began to teach them.
14 As he walked along, he saw Levi son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax collector’s booth. “Follow me,” Jesus told him, and Levi got up and followed him.
15 While Jesus was having dinner at Levi’s house, many tax collectors and sinners were eating with him and his disciples, for there were many who followed him.
16 When the teachers of the law who were Pharisees saw him eating with the sinners and tax collectors, they asked his disciples: “Why does he eat with tax collectors and sinners?”17 On hearing this, Jesus said to them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”
